A video message from DJ Khaled, Rihanna spotted at the Los Angeles airport LAX and a song snippet floating around. All of these things and more point to the fact that Ri and Drake just shot a music video for a new song called “Work.”
The R&B singer’s fans, The Navy, uncovered the mystery and posted all kinds of proof about the video, including a casting notice that calls for a male or female 18 to 20 years old, horseback riders and actors to play police officers.
The vid was reportedly shot in Los Angeles, so when fans sent tweets about seeing Rihanna at LAX and considered all the other clues, they became convinced that something was going down between their favorite singer and Drake. Then when Khaled posted his message it was confirmed.
“I’m up to something,” he said, right before the camera panned over to Drake who was standing in the background. “Major key. Cloth alert. Be ready.”
There’s also a snippet of the song “Work,” which seems to be a ballad where the Roc Nation and OVO artist trade harmonies. It’s hard to actually hear the cut, because it’s of low sound quality, but based on the two stars involved it’ll most likely soar straight to the top of the charts.
The song snippet and video could also be a sign that Ri’s album “Anti” will come out sooner than later, which would surely satisfy her hungry fans.
